P.Ag. is the Agricultural Support Officer for the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission. Keith is an agrologist with 20 years of professional experience in agriculture, food processing, land and water resource management, and scenario based complex decision support. Other recent projects he has been involved in include the development of the agricultural plan for the District of Summerland, the Canfor-Fort Nelson Predictive Ecosystem Mapping project, the Alternative Licencing Plan for California's Big Creek Basin, and the General Plan Update for Mammoth Lakes, Ca. Keith has also participated in several BC projects, including WatershedsBC, an assessment of 18,482 watersheds in the province for Geographic Data BC. Currently, Keith is the Past-President of the BCIA. He has taken an active role in rebuilding the membership database, directing the development of the new BCIA website, and in professional development. Keith grew up on a dairy farm in southern Quebec and has a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering from McGill University and a M.Agr. degree in Agricultural Economics and Business from the University of Guelph. He has also been involved with the George Morris Centre in reviewing strategies to improve the competitiveness of the Canadian agri-food sector, and is a member of the Canadian Farm Business Management Council. Keith is also currently a director of the BC Agritourism Alliance. In his spare time, Keith is a runner and has completed a number of marathons and half marathons, and the gruelling Kneeknacker. He is also an avid backpacker. Keith and his wife, Aldyn Overend, reside in Kelowna, BC. and are both directors of Inn from the Cold - Kelowna.
