Lee D. Cartier, P.Ag.
Lee Cartier holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Windsor, and has completed the Chartered Business Valuator's Program of studies through the University of Toronto. He holds a Certificate in Successful Marketing and Financing Intellectual Property from the University of British Columbia. His areas of specialty are in strategic management, business valuation, and corporate finance.

Lee has more than 25 years experience in business, consulting, and education. His consulting clients include small business, industry, and government. Lee has developed and published a number of computerized financial modeling systems and has authored more than twenty workbooks dealing with financial management and business planning.

He is a Professor in the Okanagan School of Business at Okanagan College. He teaches management and marketing in the degree program, and is the principle investigator in the research cluster related to enterprise creation and growth in rural regions. Funding for this research is provided by the Canada Rural Partnerships.

Lee is a recognized expert in both the B.C. Grape and Wine industry, and the Tree Fruit industry. Projects of specific interest to the wine industry include: the development and co-instruction of the course “Planning for Success – An Introduction to Business Planning for Small Wineries"; and the lead authorship of a six book series “Strategic Planning for a Winery Business”, prepared for and published by the B.C. Wine Institute. He has developed the “DecisionCrafter – Horticulture Edition” computer program, which is a decision making and problem solving tool for both growers and processors. The DecisionCrafter is licensed for distribution to the B.C. Fruit Growers’ Association.

Lee currently provides consulting services to the Business Development Bank (BDC) Consulting Group. The BDC Consulting group is Canada’s largest national consulting firm dedicated to small and medium sized business. He provides consulting services in the areas of new product development, asset management, and strategic and business planning. He is also a consulting associate to Cartier & Co. - Certified General Accountant, where he provides consultation services in the area of agribusiness valuation, financial management, and strategic planning.
