Students in agriculture, natural resources, environmental or related programs at British Columbian colleges or universities are welcomed as student members of BCIA. Students are given complimentary membership and receive regular communications and event information. Students are encouraged to participate in district and Branch activities and professional development opportunities.

Membership as a student does not guarantee acceptance as a Registrant enrolled in the Articling Program. Student membership is only available when attending school and before an application. A recently graduated student transitioning to a Registrant must submit a separate application form and accompanying documents as described in the application instructions.

Students receive email news and events information distributed by BCIA and are welcome to attend BCIA events; however, students are not eligible to vote at meetings and cannot use any title or designation. The use of BCIA seals or stamps is prohibited.

Students applying for the $1500 BCIA Scholarships must also be accepted as a student member or be a current Registrant.

Online Student Membership Application

BCIA will waive half of the application fee when a graduate applies for registration within 180 days, or 6 months, after official graduation.

Current student members who wish to submit an application for AAg or ATAg, please contact the BCIA office to create a new application available in the existing profile.
