BCIA is pleased to announce the results of its online nomination process for three (3) Registrant Board Member positions within Districts 1, 2, and 3 in compliance with the Professional Governance Act (PGA) and the BCIA Bylaws. We thank the respective candidates in each District for their commitment to moving BCIA forward.
The following candidates have been confirmed into the following positions commencing with the adjournment of the 2024 BCIA AGM set for May 8, 2024 in Nanaimo:
- Rebecca Martin, PAg, (incumbent) three-year term for Electoral Regional District 1 by acclamation (Peace River, CCI, Kootenay Boundary, and Registrant at Large);
- Catherine Hayes, PAg, three-year term for Electoral Regional District 2 (Kamloops, Okanagan, Fraser Valley);
- Yasemin Parkinson, PAg, (incumbent) three-year term for Electoral Regional District 3 (Vancouver, Victoria & Islands).
BCIA hereby confirms the filling of all three vacancies within Districts 1, 2, and 3, therefore concluding the 2024 nominations process.
There was 17% voter participation for the District 2 and District 3 elections.
