Join us for an exclusive tour of Piroche Plants Inc., operating as Sekhon & Sons Nursery Inc., a thriving wholesale ornamental tree and shrub nursery located in the stunning valley backdrop of Pitt Meadows. With over 90 acres of greenhouses and tree fields, the nursery is home to more than 4,500 varieties of trees, shrubs, and perennials—sourced from over 50 growers across Canada and the U.S.

The nursery was proudly acquired by the Sekhon family in 2021, marking a new chapter for the business originally founded by Pierre Piroche in 1987. Now led by President Rajveer Dhillon, a Civil Engineering graduate from UBC and third-generation grower from the Okanagan Valley, the family has combined their deep-rooted passion for agriculture with a drive to modernize and innovate nursery practices.

Specializing in on-site propagation, Sekhon & Sons Nursery grows a wide range of native plants, specimen trees, and perennials, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Their practices are designed to protect local wildlife and pollinators, with careful attention to reducing chemical use and minimizing environmental impact. Whether starting from seed, cuttings, grafting, or division, all plants are cultivated using carefully selected soil mediums and nutrition plans to ensure optimal growth.

This tour offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about the nursery’s journey—from its rich history in introducing rare and exotic species to its future vision of full-cycle, in-house production. It’s a must-attend event for anyone interested in ornamental horticulture, native plant propagation, and sustainable agricultural innovation.

Come see how tradition, science, and sustainability come together to shape the future of ornamental growing in BC!
