Join us for an exclusive tour of the Regional Compost Facility, where biosolids and woody feedstocks are transformed through an environmentally responsible process into high-quality soil conditioner. Compost Coordinator and BCIA Okanagan Branch President Andrew Kuiper, PAg, along with President Elect Jose Garcia, PAg, will guide us through the infrastructure and processes behind the production of OgoGrow, which is widely used and sold throughout the Okanagan Valley.

Tour Details:

• Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
• Parking: Ample free parking available at the facility
• Recommended: High visibility vest and steel-toed boots (if you have them, but not required)

Come and learn about the inner workings of this vital facility, including how it effectively manages organic waste, reduces landfill usage, and produces valuable compost that enhances soil health. Gain insights into how composting supports local agriculture, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and contributes to a circular economy.

ATTENTION articling registrants!! The in-person event will be an excellent opportunity to network and meet with other branch registrants.
