We are excited to invite you to an upcoming webinar presented by Fleur Fenijn, a program support officer for the CABI BioProtection Portal.
The CABI BioProtection Portal is the world's largest free directory of registered biological crop protection products, searchable by crop and pest. Available in 15 languages and nearly 50 countries, including Canada, the Portal increases accessibility to biological products, which can help to reduce pesticide resistance, minimize toxic residues, and promote better soil health. This presentation will focus on the search engine tool and the educational resources area, helping growers and agrologists identify, source, and apply sustainable solutions to combat agricultural pests.

What to Expect:

  • An overview of CABI and its mission
  • A tour of the CABI BioProtection Portal
  • Demonstration of the search engine tool and educational resources
  • Q&A session with Fleur

Presenter Bio:

Fleur Fenijn is the program support officer for the CABI BioProtection Portal. She started at the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI) two years ago at their Switzerland-based research centre, working in weed and arthropod biocontrol, before moving into an advocacy role promoting biologicals to commercial growers. Relocating to BC six months ago, Fleur continues this work remotely, promoting the Portal in Canada and the US. Previously, she worked for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada at their research station in Summerland, BC, on invasive species management of rangeland weeds and tree fruit pests. Fleur holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in economics from the University of Victoria.
