Join the BCIA Island branch for a meaningful afternoon at Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary on Saturday, May 27, from 12-2 pm. The organization has a vision to: "Conserve and restore Nature Sanctuary lands and waters while inspiring stewardship through community engagement and collaboration".
Our group will contribute to this by participating in a two-hour session to help remove invasive species from the sanctuary to help native plants and biodiversity thrive! A staff member will give us an orientation, including information about their organization, safety, and invasive species.
Tools and training provided -Recommended clothing: long pants and sleeves, closed-toed shoes, and gardening gloves. Come join. The more, the merrier!
