Call for Volunteers: Represent BCIA at the Pacific Agriculture Show!!

Are you ready to make a difference while growing your professional network? BCIA is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help represent the organization at this exciting three-day event.

Event Dates & Times:
📅 Thursday, January 23: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
📅 Friday, January 24: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
📅 Saturday, January 25: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Your Role as a Volunteer:
As a volunteer, your primary objective is to be a friendly and welcoming representative of BCIA, raising awareness about the regulated practice of agrology in BC and encouraging registration. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Educate attendees about the Professional Governance Act (PGA) and BCIA’s role in regulating agrology in BC.
  • Engage in strategic networking to identify potential PD opportunities or connections for the Registrar or Interim CEO.
  • Gather business cards from attendees for follow-ups and potential collaborations.
  • Promote BCIA by sharing your personal experience and expertise in agrology.

Why Volunteer?

  1. Professional Networking: Connect with fellow agrologists, industry professionals, and stakeholders while expanding your professional network.
  2. Raise Awareness: Foster understanding about the critical role agrologists play in sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship.
  3. Promote Governance: Educate the public about the importance of adhering to the Professional Governance Act and maintaining high professional standards.
  4. Personal & Professional Growth: Develop communication and leadership skills, gain event management experience, and enhance your professional portfolio.

How to Volunteer:
If you’re interested in contributing your time and expertise, please register below by January 20, 2024, with your preferred time slots and availability. Earn 1 PDH per hour for your volunteer time!
