Kara Wilson, a Community Energy Champion for Quatsino First Nation, will present the Quatsino solar photovoltaic project at the 9th Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference during the Partnership Showcase, alongside project partner Mary Vasey from Barkley Project Group.

This transformative initiative proposes a combined 150 kWp of solar PV capacity across three community buildings, expected to generate 130,000 kWh annually. The project will supply renewable energy, reduce operating costs, and boost community resiliency with advanced battery-bank backup systems.
