NOTICE of ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023
The 2023 Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists ("BCIA") respecting the 2022 fiscal year shall take place by way of a hybrid format (in-person and virtually) on Saturday, April 22, 2023, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time.
Details of Conference Workshops and Bus Tours on April 20-22, in conjunction with the BCIA AGM, can be found at https://www.bcia.com/conference. Details of the hotel reservation process, which expires at 12:00 noon PDT on March 20th, can be found on the conference website > Accommodations.
The following items are to be noted:
- AGM registration is now open on the BCIA website under EVENTS. Electronic access to the AGM platform, including voting instructions, the proposed AGM Agenda, and other information required for the AGM shall be provided to all Registrants in good standing of BCIA by electronic means no later than Wednesday, April 19, 2023;
- The in-person aspect of the AGM will be held at the Sandman Centre 300 Lorne Street, Kamloops, BC;
- The deadline for receipt of any resolutions considered at the AGM has passed with no resolutions received;
In compliance with Bylaw #31, the business conducted at the annual general meeting shall include:
(a) adoption of minutes of the previous annual general meeting;
(b) adoption of the audited annual financial statements;
(c) appointment of auditors;
(d) receipt of Council election results, if any; and
(e) any other business specified in the notice of the annual general meeting
